Looks like my dreams are finally coming true as there is a World of Warcraft movie incoming! The producer of 300 is working very closely with the guys from Blizzard Entertainment to accurately capture the true spirit of Azeroth. From what I understand the first 30 minutes of the movie will involve the main character running around collecting scraps of wool. I think if the screenplay is done correctly the potential for a feature length WoW movie could be as entertaining if not more than the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

The iPhone comes out on Friday, and the buzz around this thing is deafening. While it does have some pretty cool features, there are also some very important features that it is missing. For one it doesn’t have 3G which is Cingular’s high-speed internet service, which is not too terribly bad of an omission, but the real deal breaker is the lack of mp3s as ringtones. This is a pretty simple feature that even the most basic of flip phones has these days. Sure it can look at videos on YouTube, but for some reason the designers left off any way for the iPhone to record video. DOH!

Speaking of the iPhone, I’ve been watching G4’s Free Stuff. Its an interesting show, where the hosts (Morgan Webb and Kevin Poreira) talk about different products and then during the commercials they give out special codes. Viewers at home can then enter the code on the Free Stuff website and six people at random are chosen at the end of the show. ThisFriday G4 will be giving away several iPhones during the contest. While the chances are still pretty slim, I feel confident that I will win one.

I have to be honest, I spend a fair amount of time defending my desktop and with the recent upgrade to 1.5, even more as of late. The new version includes two new units and a couple new towers. The shadow units are slow moving units with a bit of damage reduction shields built-in and the ever-changing morph units which cycle between different unit types. The designer also shook up the creep order which does take a bit to get the hang of. Its a pretty fun little flash game, check it out if you haven’t already.

Kill Bill 3 & 4? Sign me up. While ultraviolent, the first two were classic Tarantino storytelling, and were very enjoyable. Not to mention that Uma Thurman looks fantastic in a yellow jumpsuit.

Chris Benoit went from one of the most respected wrestlers in the wrestling business to complete psychopath in the span of a couple of hours. His death is another in a very long line of former pro-wrestlers that have died under mysterious causes. I’m not suggesting there is a conspiracy but rather an unfortunate trend from a rather small group of people that share the same occupation.

While on the topic of wrestling, the Iron Sheik, one of the great classic wrestlers from the 80’s has been gaining a lot of notoriety lately for his ability to go from 0 to tirade in under 15 seconds. Check out this classic interview of the Sheik going off on one of the Killer Bee’s, another classic tag team from the 80’s.

My favorite summer show Big Brother is one week away, and this season has lots of new twists to keep the show feeling fresh. All the contestants have at least one rival that is also in the house. This could be a high school bully, a ex-boyfriend/girlfriend, or even warring co-workers. This added tension should make for a dynamic environment inside the house. Additionally this season there will be unedited feeds every night on Showtime, which will be a must-watch.

This is the most disturbing person I think I’ve ever seen. I wonder at what point do you say to yourself, “screw it, lets tatoo the face”.

I admit… I’ve played a game of Dungeons & Dragons, but nowhere to this level. This is one of the greatest videos about D&D dorks ever. (Thanks to Butch for the link)
