As you can probably tell Matt2 has helped me convert the website into something a little more modern. I really like the interface so far and I’m currently in the process of importing all my pictures. KG hand drew the original site, so I’m a little sad to see it go, but it is still accessible from the link on the right.

Rock Band, the main competitor to Guitar Hero has released images of their guitar controller. Apparently they’ve designed it so that it looks like a real guitar from the front, but from the top view you can see the fret button’s colors. Rock Band as you know, will include 2 guitar controllers, a drum set, and a microphone for the full band experience. I’m pretty excited about this, just hope my Guitar Hero 2 controllers are compatible and they have a decent song list.

The UFC had another major event this past weekend. This will mark the second in a string of three consecutive weeks of live UFC shows. Matt2 has more info on UFC71 on his blog The Big Blimey This has been a crazy month for Mixed Martial Arts with the K-1 show on June 2nd featuring Brock Lesnar, the Strikeforce/EliteXC show this weekend, headlined by Frank Shamrock vs Phil Baroni, and of course all the great UFC action.

Super Hero Hype talked with the head of Marvel Studios and they discuss the upcoming films. Iron Man is up next followed by a new Incredible Hulk movie. One big announcement is the plans for a Captain America movie. With movies ranging from Ghost Rider, Daredevil, Electra already out for consumption, finally they’re taking one of the more popular character and adapting it to film.

Angry Steve finally broke down and got a next-gen console. Possibly the biggest gamer I know, Steve has gotten every bit of his money’s worth out of his busted old Playstation 2. Last night he finally received his Xbox 360 in the mail, and even though it took him over 10 minutes to pick a gamer tag, he got online and scored his first couple achievement points.

The new film Redbelt looks like it has real potential. The first major movie based on Mixed Martial Arts is being directed by David mamet and features and interesting cast. One of the names that sticks out to me is UFC Heavyweight Champion, Randy Couture. The La Times has a huge article on the picture, I think this might actually be pretty cool, as long as its more like Bloodsport rather than American Ninja or Gymkata, we’ll be ok.

The Onion has a funny article on potential fallout on the latest news of possible steroid use by Sylvester Stallone.

I didn’t even know they made this crap, and now I can’t stop thinking about it.  Lego has a full line of Batman Lego toys including the Batcave and Arkham Asylum.   I wouldn’t have known about this had I not heard about the new Batman Lego video game coming to all consoles soon.  The Star Wars Lego games were pretty fun to play, albeit  very simplistic.  I expect to see this game around the same time as the new Dark Knight movie.
