The trailer for Assassin’s Creed looks siiiiiick, and its supposedly all game footage. The short cliplooks better than most movie previews that I’ve seen. From wiki: “The game takes place during the Third Crusade, in the year 1191. The gamer plays as a member of the assassin sect Hashshashin known as Altaïr, whose objective is to assassinate the nine historical figures who are propagating the Crusades, and end the suffering of the people. As the gamer finds and kills these targets, their conspiracy is unveiled. The player will be able to travel through three cities, Jerusalem, Acre, and Damascus.”
After a week with the Halo 3 beta, I have to be honest, I haven’t found much time to play it. The game is just sort of ok, its basically Halo 2 with better graphics. To compound the problem is the fact most everyone you will play with online is already five times better than you. Its very competitive in the multiplayer mode. One saving grace that might make me actually purchase the game is the rumor that Halo 3 will feature 4-player cooperative play, which would be pretty dang cool.
Have I mentioned I love viral marketing? The buzz has started for the next Batman movie. Apparently the Joker has hacked attorney Harvey Dent’s website. Speaking of the Joker check out these creepy pics of Heath Ledger in costume.
I saw Spiderman 3 this weekend. It was pretty decent, the action scenes were very impressive, and I love all the new characters they introduced. Unfortunately the movie could have been easily 4 hours long with all the material they tried to jam into the film. Realistically they should have removed 2-3 of the storylines and the movie would have been much better.
Time to start the countdown for Guitar Hero 3. The first wave of tracks set to debut in the next version has just hit the internets. It looks like they’re mixing rock classics with newer hits from bands like Weezer, Smashing Pumpkins, and Muse. I can’t wait!
